Meeting with California Solar and Signing a Contract
Once you sign the contract, one of our experienced solar engineers will visit your home to coordinate the details of your solar energy system design. We’ll make sure your system fits right in your home and order the materials needed for installation. Usually, this process takes him 30-45 days.
Design & Engineering (30-35 days)
Once the system design is confirmed, a dedicated Customer Experience Coordinator will obtain the necessary approvals for your solar installation. Usually within 30-40 days, depending on the city. We will keep you informed throughout this process.
Solar Panel Installation (1-3 days)
Once your municipality approves permits for the system, a coordinator will call you to plan the installation. The installation process itself typically takes only 1-3 days and is performed by our experienced in-house installation team.
Inspections & Commissioning (15 to 30 days)
After your solar panels have been installed, our team will conduct a quality control review and attend all inspections by your local building department. After inspections, your local utility will swap out your electrical meter and give permission to operate it (PTO). Then, your coordinator will schedule a time for our Solar Commissioner to test and turn on your system. The inspections and commissioning process typically take 15 to 30 days.
